Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with directors, costume designers, and clients to understand the desired look.
- Design and execute makeup looks that align with the project’s aesthetic and character requirements.
- Apply special effects (SFX) makeup for film and television productions when required.
- Conduct makeup trials and consultations ahead of shoots or events.
- Work efficiently on set or at events under tight schedules.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and adhere to hygiene and safety standards.
- Stay updated on industry trends, techniques, and products.
- Manage and organize makeup kits and ensure availability of necessary supplies.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Makeup Artist in film, television, or event settings.
- Strong portfolio showcasing a range of looks, from natural to high-glam and SFX makeup.
- Proficiency in makeup techniques for various skin tones, types, and occasions.
- Knowledge of the latest products, tools, and trends in the beauty and entertainment industries.
- Ability to work in high-pressure environments and adapt to changing requirements.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Certification or diploma in Makeup Artistry from a recognized institution.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with prosthetics and advanced SFX makeup.
- Previous work on high-profile film, television, or event projects.
- Familiarity with hair styling for shoots and events (basic to advanced).
- Understanding of lighting and how it affects makeup on camera.
